CONCLUSION: The pattern of the tear, especially anterior L-shaped tears, was identified as an independent risk factor for retear after rotator cuff repair. The impact of fatty infiltration of the supraspinatus muscle on the risk of retear varied by the pattern of the tear, with a significant association seen in posterior L-shaped tears.

Instability of the lesser toes metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joints is a common forefoot problem and can present as metatarsalgia, synovitis, and lesser toe deformities. The plantar plate contributes to MTP joint stability through its interaction with the plantar aponeurosis, and plantar plate insufficiency is the primary cause of MTP joint instability. Conservative treatment options, including the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, intra-articular steroid injections, orthosis, and...

CONCLUSIONS: Anatomical repair techniques, particularly pull-out and all-inside methods, appear to provide better functional outcomes for meniscal root tears than partial meniscectomy or conservative care. However, given the low certainty of evidence, further high-quality studies are needed to clarify structural outcomes and optimize long-term joint preservation strategies.

CONCLUSION: In this case series, ligament-based surgical treatment of PLRI with associated posterior capitellar lesions was associated with generally favorable patient-reported outcomes. These findings highlight the need for larger, standardized studies to clarify the clinical relevance and treatment thresholds of posterior capitellar lesions. Standardized protocols are needed for defect size assessment and evidence-based guidelines for managing posterior capitellar lesions remain necessary to...

CONCLUSION: AA early postoperative complication risk increases with procedural complexity, with the most common complication being nerve-related injury, which may be related to technique, portal placement, and case length based on the literature. However, this study only found a correlation with the number of concurrent procedures. Operative time, tourniquet use, and distractor use were not correlated to early postoperative complication risk in this study.

CONCLUSION: Pooled analyses showed higher Constant and ASES scores in surgical cohorts. However, the magnitude of this difference does not exceed MCID, indicating limited clinical relevance. No surgical technique demonstrated significant superiority. These findings highlight the need for individualized treatment decisions, considering the limited clinical benefit of surgery over non-surgical approaches.

CONCLUSIONS: For proximal LHBT injuries, both interference screw compression fixation and suture anchor ligation under shoulder arthroscopy can effectively restore LHBT continuity, relieve shoulder pain, and improve functional outcomes. Suture anchor ligation demonstrates superior efficacy in pain relief, particularly during early postoperative recovery. However, in terms of long-term functional improvement at 12 months, both techniques yield comparable results. Moreover, suture anchor fixation...

Partial-thickness rotator cuff tears (PTRCTs) are classified into intratendinous tears (ITT), bursal-side tears (BST), and articular-side tears (AST). ITT is relatively rare, and many aspects of its clinical presentation remain unknown. Moreover, there are few reports on arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR) of ITTs. To the best of our knowledge, few reports have compared the treatment outcomes of ARCR with those of BST, AST, and ITT. Patients who were diagnosed with ITT based on...

CONCLUSIONS: In arthroscopic simulation, eye-tracking metrics primarily reflected experience-related differences in visual attention rather than objective simulator-defined technical performance. Fixation-based measures may capture aspects of attentional efficiency and cognitive workload, but do not appear to be reliable standalone indicators of procedural performance. Eye-tracking may therefore provide complementary insight into cognitive aspects of surgical expertise when integrated with...

CONCLUSION: In the primary setting, professional athletes with borderline hip dysplasia who underwent hip arthroscopy for FAI demonstrated a 79% RTS rate. The mean time to return was 7.5 months, with older age and a history of prior hip arthroscopy predictive of a lower likelihood of RTS (25% RTS among revision cases). Hip arthroscopy for FAI in professional athletes with borderline dysplasia was effective for returning the majority of these athletes to their preoperative level, especially in...

Osteitis pubis is an important cause of pain in athletes which may be severe enough to prevent participation in sports. While the majority of patients respond to conservative measures, approximately 5% to 10% do require surgery. A variety of surgical options exist ranging from total symphysectomy to arthrodesis. Recent advancements in arthroscopy have allowed arthroscopists to explore endoscopic symphysectomy as a surgical management. Endoscopic pubic symphysectomy does appear to allow for...

Arthroscopic Latarjet procedures have been described since 2007. While an arthroscopic approach is appealing, there is currently little evidence to support the arthroscopic approach over traditional open Latarjet surgery. Rather than focusing on retrospective series with good results, future surgery should be directed towards defining clear benefits associated with the arthroscopic approach, given the extended learning curve and potential increased risk of complications.

Periacetabular osteotomy has been shown to be a powerful hip preservation procedure for over 4 decades. The advances in hip arthroscopy have revolutionized intra-articular hip preservation procedures, and combining the 2 operations is a deeply debated topic among hip preservation surgeons. The exact role of hip arthroscopy in the face of hip dysplasia and borderline hip dysplasia continues to be defined in our literature. The addition of hip arthroscopy to osteotomy patients has shown safety and...
