Learning at work week 2025
The library is taking part in Learning at Work Week 2025 along with our Learning and Development team. We are proud to support this year’s ‘Get Connected’ theme and encourage everyone across the trust to make the most of the free workshops available.
We are organising the following events during this week.
- Mon 12th May: Library stand in the education centre foyer 10am -12pm
- Tue 13th May: Library Drop- in sessions between 10-12 and 2-4pm
- Wed 14th May: Library stand in the education centre foyer From 2- 3pm
- Wed 14th May : Finding the Evidence: Searching EBSCOhost CINAHL 2-3 pm
Our education teams – simulations, learning and development, practice education, medical education and library services – provide a comprehensive range of learning opportunities designed to support the personal and professional development of all staff.
Celebrate World Book Night on 23 April 2025
World Book Night celebrates the pleasure and benefits of reading. It is promoted each year by the Reading Agency, a national charity with a clear message, that it doesn’t matter what you read, as long as you read!

- See our display of health and well-being books – The library has a growing collection of print and digital books to help you look after your own personal health & wellbeing, be happy, stay healthy. You can borrow these books. Ask library staff for more details.

BioDigital Human- Free Trail
Library service have signed up for 14 day free trial of BioDigital Human platform. The BioDigital Human platform is a medically accurate, virtual map of the human body—composed of over 8,000 individually selectable anatomical structures, 600 simulated health conditions, and a toolkit to map and visualize data. NHS Trusts can use BioDigital to show patients new procedures, new drug treatments, as well as progression of conditions. It’s fantastic for doctors/nurses to guide their patients through their recovery, treatment, and/or surgical interventions.

Wellbeing Digital Audio Books -The library’s Boundless Digital Media Library can be accessed via https://cwh.boundless.baker-taylor.com
Users need to login with OpenAthens to borrow and listen these audiobooks either on desktop/laptop or on the Boundless App. Audiobooks can be downloaded from the Boundless app for tablets, phones, and any mobile device. When titles are downloaded, they will appear in the user’s offline content Library and can be played back while out of range. Contact library staff for more details
