Health Literacy Awareness

This session will provide learners with a useful introduction to health literacy and the impact of low health literacy on the lives of patients. It will introduce tools and techniques and to support those with low health literacy.
This session will cover:
 What is health literacy
 The impact of poor health literacy on patients
 Exploration of information resources which can assist patients with health-related enquiries
 Tools and techniques that can support patients with low health literacy

Booking Information & Individual Training Sessions
Please email the library your preferred session and date or to request an individual training session at an alternative time. You will receive an email confirmation along with a Microsoft Teams meeting invitation. Individual training can also be provided face-to-face if preferred.
You will need to be registered with an NHS OpenAthens account (for database training) prior to attending, and have access to a PC/laptop with a microphone.
