Finding the Evidence: Searching Ovid Medline

This session will equip learners with the skills to formulate an effective database search strategy and to search for evidence using the Ovid Medline database. The training is delivered using a mix of facilitator presentation and live search demonstrations.
This session covers the following:
 Formulating your search question using PICO
 Searching Ovid Medline using keywords and MeSH terms
 Applying limits to a search
 Exporting results
 Saving searches/creating email alerts

Booking Information & Individual Training Sessions
Please email the library your preferred session and date or to request an individual training session at an alternative time. You will receive an email confirmation along with a Microsoft Teams meeting invitation. Individual training can also be provided face-to-face if preferred.
You will need to be registered with an NHS OpenAthens account (for database training) prior to attending, and have access to a PC/laptop with a microphone.
