CIPD coronavirus webinar series: Health and well-being – This webinar considers employer obligations and good practice around staff health, safety and well-being in the context of COVID-19.

Digital wellbeing of learners – Digital technologies present many opportunities for new ways of working. Understanding the positive benefits and any potential negative aspects of engaging with digital activities is key to ensuring learner wellbeing. Jisc has developed a model showing the four aspects of digital wellbeing for individuals.

NHS fitness studio exercise videos – Take your pick from 24 instructor-led videos across our aerobics exercise, strength and resistance, and pilates and yoga categories. These workouts have been created by fitness experts InstructorLive and range from 10 to 45 minutes.

Support for LGBTQ+ Staff

There are a number of helpful resources which LBGTQ+ staff members can access:

  •  Switchboard – provides a safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional wellbeing
  • Terrence Higgins Trust – leading HIV and sexual health charity, providing a range of services including therapy
  • Mermaids – support for transgender, non-binary and gender diverse children, young people and their families (useful for staff members who are parents)
  • CliniQ – offers a holistic sexual health, mental health and wellbeing service for all trans people, partners and friends. CliniQ is currently accepting applications for trans, non-binary or gender diverse people to join a wellbeing programme during Covid-19

  • Mindful Medics – offers guided mindfulness and meditation specifically for NHS staff (not exclusive to medics). The sessions are free and run every Thursday  for any healthcare staff who wish to access a supportive closed group of sharing, reflection and mindfulness practice – sign up via eventbrite and the link will be sent to you.
  • Frontline Text Support Service  – SHOUT is a free, confidential service available to all health and social care workers in the UK.
