The following are different support groups which provide help and support related to heart health

Blood Pressure UK - offers a range of booklets, magazine, e-newsletters, website, information line and other activities, to help people take control of, or prevent, high blood pressure.

British Cardiac Patients Association: Offering support, reassurance and information to all cardiac patients. Representing patients in local and national issues relating to coronary heart disease. Helpline 01949837070.
Cardiomyopathy Association: The Cardiomyopathy Association (CMA) is a registered charity that helps people and their families affected by the heart muscle condition cardiomyopathy. They provide support and easy-to-understand information on the different types of cardiomyopathy. Freephone helpline (0800 0181 024) that is manned from 8.30am to 4.30pm on weekdays.
Provide information to the relatives and friends of anyone who has a disability or is frail or ill.

Children's Heart Association: It is a support group run by families and friends of cardiac children for families with, or who have had, children with heart disorders. email: information@ heartchild.info

Heart UK, The Cholesterol Charity: Provides advice to those suffering from high cholesterol or who inherit high cholesterol through a helpline 0845 4505988
Heart Throbs Cardiac Support Group: Independent group affiliated to the British Heart Foundation and offer help and guidance to people (including their partners and carers) who have a heart problem and want to return to a more active or normal life. Collects small charge for exercise classes.

Upbeat Heart Support Group: Information Desk at West Mid Hospital
This is situated in the atrium opposite the main reception desk and is staffed every Tuesday and Wednesday by volunteers with free advice and literature available

Speakability: Speakability is the national charity for people living with aphasia - a loss of communication skills caused by stroke, head injury or other neurological damage. The charity runs a network of support groups and a free phone information service.

St. Paul’s Centre: A number of community groups run from the centre including keep fit, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs, Toy Library, Age-Concern, indoor-bowling, Stroke Club.
