Disabled Persons Railcard
If you have a disability that makes travelling by train difficult you might qualify for the Disabled Persons Railcard. This allows you to get one third off most rail fares throughout Great Britain and if you’re travelling with an adult companion they can get the same discount.
You may be eligible if you have a visual or hearing impairment, have epilepsy or are in receipt of a disability related benefit.

Coaches and buses
Coach drivers must give reasonable assistance to disabled people, in particular to help them get on and off the coach. This does not extend to physically lifting passengers or heavy mobility equipment. If you need assistance at the coach station contact either the station or the coach company before you travel.
The London Underground

Freedom Pass
The scheme provides free travel on all buses, trains, trams, Docklands Light rail, Thames river services and London underground services.
Eligibility is through disability or age. If you were born after 6.4.40 and don’t qualify through disability you need to check when you will be eligible.
