Exercise, Leisure and Lifestyle taking care of yourself
The ARNI Trust ( Action for Rehabilitation from Neurological Injury)
The ARNI Trust assists stroke survivors who are in the rehabilitation phases of stroke and want to exercise with a trainer.
This charity trains physical trainers and therapists and matches stroke survivors with these trainers who usually charge a small amount.
Their aim is to take you from the stage where a physiotherapist becomes unavailable or the treatment being given you seems to be becoming ineffective for your more active needs to the stage where you can go on to make training part of your activities of daily life.
The Trust says that you should expect to :
correct balance and posture |
improve co-ordination and timing |
increase flexibility stamina and strength |
increase confidence |
remove the fear of exercising |
increase ability to perform everyday tasks and increase self esteem |
